Scammers appeared on the network taking money for pre-ordering Baldur's Gate III
Larian Studios, which are developing the third part of Baldur's Gate, have not yet been able to determine the price of the game or even a release date. The head of the distribution department told about this on Twitter. Michael Dawes urges everyone to be smart and not to fall for the tricks of scammers and wait for official information from the developers.
He also mentioned the possible sale of keys on some third-party sites, but mentioned that at the moment there is no such key anywhere. Thus, he removed responsibility from the studio in the event that one of the users asked them for funds spent on a "fake" copy of the game.

On Steam and GOG, where the game is planned to be distributed, you can only add Baldur's Gate III to your wishlist or subscribe to the newsletter. There can be no question of any sales, but this did not prevent the scammers from designing the game's sales page well and making money from it.
This month, the developers are planning to release the game into the early access stage. Now they cannot guarantee that the deadlines and promises will be kept due to the strong influence of the quarantine regime on the production process.
