What’s Hidden in Darth Vader's Katana in Fortnite?

The most recent collaboration with Star Wars occurred on December 24, introducing the Samurai Star Wars set in the Item Shop. This set includes the Darth Vader Samurai skin, Vader's Katana pickaxe and back bling, the Stormtrooper Samurai skin, an Imperial Banner back bling, the Trooper's Kamayari pickaxe, the Lil' TIE Attack emote, and themed wraps for both the Trooper and Vader Samurai.
Among these items, the Samurai Darth Vader's Katana stood out to fans, thanks to the glowing runes etched along its blade. These runes, written in the Sith alphabet ur-Kittat, can be translated into Latin characters. Curious fans translated the symbols, hoping for a Star Wars Easter egg, but the results were underwhelming.
What Do the Runes on Darth Vader's Katana Mean?
When translated, the runes spell out:

This string of letters appears to be random and has no discernible meaning. Fans speculated that it could be part of a larger Easter egg, so they tried searching for the sequence in YouTube URLs or the V-Bucks redemption page, but nothing came of it.
While most players dismissed the runes as a missed opportunity by Epic Games, others believe they might hold significance for future updates. Fortnite is known for its hidden secrets, and it’s unusual for the developers to include such a cryptic element without a purpose.
With the Winterfest event wrapping up on January 7, Epic Games is likely preparing for the next big Fortnite event. Perhaps the mysterious runes on Darth Vader's Katana will play a role in what’s coming next. For now, fans can only speculate and wait for Epic to unveil the truth.
