The annual Evolution Championship Series, initially a showcase of the world's best fighting game players, has evolved into a comprehensive celebration of the fighting game genre. Evo 2024 aims to build on this legacy with exciting announcements, introducing a fresh venue, revised dates, and enhanced ways to engage with the event.

Evo 2024 will highlight eight prominent fighting games as the main tournaments, featuring a mix of current titles and a nostalgic "throwback" game. Among the debuting titles are Tekken 8, Granblue Fantasy Versus Rising, Mortal Kombat 1, and Under Night In-Birth II Sys:Celes, marking their first appearance at Evo 2024.

The roster of featured games at Evo 2024 includes:

1. Street Fighter 6 (2nd appearance)
2. Tekken 8 (1st appearance)
3. Mortal Kombat 1 (1st appearance)
4. Guilty Gear Strive (3rd appearance)
5. The King Of Fighters XV (3rd appearance)
6. Granblue Fantasy Versus Rising (1st appearance)
7. Under Night In-Birth II Sys:Celes (1st appearance)
8. Street Fighter III: Third Strike (Throwback Game, 8th appearance)

Additionally, the Evo Showcase is set to return, offering a dedicated stage for publisher panels, game reveals, and exhibitions, extending the opportunity for deeper engagement. Last year's Evo Showcase featured enlightening panels on Granblue Fantasy Versus Rising, Tekken 8, Street Fighter 6, and more.

Scheduled for July 19-21, the 2024 event will be hosted at the West Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center, a significant shift from the Mandalay Bay Resort and Convention Hall, the event's home since 2016. This change not only brings a fresh venue but also introduces a revamped ticketing structure. Each ticket will grant general admission to both the main Evo stage and the show floor, encompassing a vast arcade, artist alley, vendors, and the much-anticipated return of the Beyond the Arcade Stick Museum. This marks Evo's first relocation in nearly a decade, promising a renewed and exhilarating experience for participants and attendees alike.
