Starfield ranks fifth in terms of sales speed in Europe this year
According to data published on GamesIndustry.biz, Starfield has become "almost the most successful" Xbox release in the current generation of consoles in Europe, surpassing even Forza Horizon 5.
As for first-week sales, the success of Starfield has only been surpassed by the following games: Hogwarts Legacy, Diablo 4, The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, and Star Wars Jedi: Survivor.

It's important to note that these data points aren't entirely comparable, as Starfield's sales include results from its early access. Bethesda's sci-fi RPG was released on September 6 for Xbox Series X/S and PC, but players who pre-ordered its Premium or Constellation Edition could start playing as early as September 1.
Additionally, these figures do not account for the number of players who accessed Starfield through Game Pass. The standard edition of Bethesda's sci-fi RPG was available to Microsoft subscribers on day one, both on consoles and PC.
Starfield appears to have set a new record for Microsoft in terms of the number of copies sold on its release day among games from Xbox Game Studios.
By the end of the first official release day, more than six million people had played the game, including over one million concurrent players, according to data from the platform holder.
It's also worth noting that the release of Starfield contributed to two of the most successful sales weeks for Xbox Series X/S consoles in the UK this year.
