PGL Major Krakow 2017Tapahtuman tiedotVieraillaFirst of all, I would like to congratulate you with the end of this Major. What are your feelings about it?
I am feeling really well. We had an amazing final, the crowd was amazing. Everyone felt it in the venue and everybody watched it on the stream. I don’t think I’ve ever seen any other CS:GO event on such scale with this kind of stage setup and, certainly, a full crowd. We had 15 000 people cheering for the favorite team.
So, was there sold-out?
Ilmaisia jalokiviä sekä päivittäisiä, viikoittaisia ja kuukausittaisia lisäpalkkioita!
Yes, it was both today and yesterday.
How long were you preparing for the event?
Well, the preparation was started in November last year. It was a long process.
Are you waiting for some CS:GO or Dota Majors from Valve in the nearest future?
Of course, I want to continue peeking for all possible events, especially, for the Dota 2 and CS:GO Majors. We think that at the moment there is nobody who could beat us in terms of production. But this will be up to Valve, they are going to decide, which company they will award the next Major. We are working on multiple plans for four different continents. We’ll see.
Can we expect some regular tournament?
Yes, we have a lot of plans for 2018. Right after this, we are going to TI and then we will take a break. And the next event, in which we are gonna be involved in, will be BLAST Pro Series in Copenhagen in November. By this moment, we had already known that we would have seven events for 2018, which we are planning all around the world.
What were your problems at the event? Like technical delays with PC issues and the stuff like that. And, also, why did viewers have to leave the venue?
This is the law in Poland. Nobody, who is doing a large event with many people involved, is allowed to keep them in a venue after a midnight. That happened because of technical delays, which we had occured during the day. The matches took place much later than they had been supposed to. We had some technical issues, which we had never encountered. We used the same PCs and configurations for the European Minor without any kind of issues. So yes, there was something that went wrong and I would like to go back and to see how can I do better for the next time.
What is the favorite team for you at this Major?
Gambit. *laughing* I mean I don’t have a favorite team. I like all teams, which are playing good Counter Strike. And yes, Gambit has played in the best way.
What do you prefer more - Dota 2 or CS:GO?
Well, I am a Counter Strike player and before that, I had been a Quake player since 1994.
