Two players from Hard Legion Esports was banned at WESG 2019
WESGIn their official group VKontakte, Hard Legion Esports reported that they would not be able to perform in full force not only in the qualifications in the CIS, but also in other qualifiers. About exactly who will be replaced, at the moment is unknown. This restriction applies to those who are registered in the Crimea and those who received a passport there.
This is not the first case of this nature. Epic Games banned players from Belarus and Crimea, according to which they could not take part in the Fortnite championship. This decision was made in connection with US law. Unlike WESG and their organizers, Epic Games allowed Belarusians and Crimeans living outside the ban zone to take part in the tournament.
